ARDRE VALLEY
Magnificence of the terroir
The vineyard located near Reims in the heart of the Ardre Valley covers 9 hectares. Established on the hillsides, the vines find a favorite terroir there
thanks to a limestone subsoil covered with a thin layer of clay.
In Champagne, the vines benefit from the oceanic influence and low temperatures which lead to slow and moderate ripening of the berries. The juices thus present the fundamental characteristics of Champagne wines:
finesse and freshness.

Thus, in this vineyard, it is the nature of the terroir that has guided the selection of the best suited grape varieties: pinot noir, meunier, and chardonnay.

Pinot Noir gives the wine aromas of red fruits ; it is the grape variety which brings together body and power.

Pinot Meunier is supple and fruity. Its bouquet is intense: it evolves more quickly over time and gives the wine roundness.

Chardonnay is the grape variety of finesse. When it is young, it offers floral and sometimes mineral notes to the wines. Its slow evolution makes it an ideal complement for aging wines.
